This year flew by, wouldn’t you say? I cannot believe we will be in 2022 within the next couple of weeks. In this blog post, I want to share some of my favorite 2021 projects. One thing I can say is we took on projects that we never, in a million years, would have thought we would’ve took on. The DIY community is so motivating, so I have to give it up to some of my favorite Instagram Friends.
Here are some of my favorite projects of 2021:
#1: Thrifted Coffee Table
I found this coffee table on FB Marketplace for $50 (with delivery!) and I knew it would be a perfect DIY project. This thing came in two pieces and was super heavy!
I used contact paper that I found on Amazon to cover the entire piece. It took about 1 hour and could easily be labeled as my easiest DIY project because I was able to finish it in one day! Here is how it turned out 🙂
#2: Primary Bedroom
This was a sponsored project with The Home Depot and I was beyond excited to be working with them! We decided to give my bedroom a refresh with a new accent wall, lighting, bed frame, and new area rug! Oh boy, I love the result of this refresh.
It was our second time giving our bedroom a makeover. In the beginning of 2021, we painted our bedroom and added a board & batten wall, but for some reason I didn’t love it!
I wanted a moody, yet bright room with splashes of color here and there. We removed the board & batten and painted the wall with lime wash paint from Color Atelier in Brushed Slate.
We got rid of the upholstered bed from and wanted a more modern style bed and added two modern footstools at the end of our bed.
Our new bedroom is a whole new vibe and there is nothing I would change – as of right now! See below for the after photos
#3: Kitchen
This project was a labor of love! It was our first time tiling & we had to learn as we went! Thankfully, we had family to help us along the way, but boy myself & my husband definitely grew gray hair from this project. We have weekly blog posts that leading up to the reveal & the full reveal can be found HERE.
#4: Girl’s Bedroom Refresh
Lastly, my daughter’ bedroom! I am OBSESSED with this pink paradise we created in a couple of days! We started with a gender neutral nursery and we did a complete 180 and made a drastic change with lots of PINK!
This was a budget makeover! Would you believe me if I told you that we spent less than $250 to complete this makeover? But, to be 100% transparent, the wallpaper was sponsored by Urban Walls. If you would like the link to this wallpaper, click here!
Well, there you have it! Some of my favorite projects for this year! I cannot wait to share some of the projects we have planned for 2022!
